Do these QR codes expire?

No. We generate static QR codes that contain the actual data directly. They will work forever as long as the destination URL remains active.

What is error correction?

Error correction allows the QR code to be scanned even if part of it is damaged or covered. Higher levels make the code look more complex but increase reliability.

Can I add a logo to the middle?

Currently, we generate clean, standard QR codes. Logo embedding is a feature planned for a future update.

What formats can I download?

You can download a high-resolution raster image (PNG) or a scalable vector graphic (SVG) perfect for professional printing.

Is my data tracked?

No. The QR code generation happens locally in your browser. We do not track scans or collect the URLs you encode.

How QR Codes Work

A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional matrix barcode that can store significantly more data than a standard UPC barcode. When scanned by a smartphone camera, the pattern of black and white squares is translated into text, URLs, contact information, or Wi-Fi credentials. They use Reed-Solomon error correction, meaning a QR code can still be scanned successfully even if up to 30% of the code is damaged or obscured.

Static vs. Dynamic QR Codes

Our tool generates static QR codes, which means the destination URL or text is hard-coded directly into the visual pattern. Unlike dynamic QR codes provided by marketing platforms, our static codes never expire, don't require a subscription, and don't track your users. They are perfect for permanent printed materials like menus, business cards, and product packaging.
