MinifyPic ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data when you visit minifypic.com ("the Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the Service.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account information: If you create an account to use AI-powered tools (such as background removal or image enhancement), we collect your email address and authentication credentials through our authentication provider, Supabase.
• Contact information: If you contact us via our contact form or email, we collect the name, email address, and message content you provide.
• Payment information: If you make a voluntary donation through our support page, payment details are processed directly by Razorpay. We do not store your credit card or bank account details on our servers.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, and approximate geographic location (country/city level).
• Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and local storage for essential functionality such as authentication sessions, user preferences, and analytics tracking (see Section 4 for details).

2.3 Files You Process

This is the most important section for understanding how MinifyPic treats your files:

• Browser-based (free) tools: Tools including the image compressor, resizer, cropper, format converter, metadata remover, image filters, QR generator, Base64 encoder, and social media sizer process files entirely within your web browser using client-side technologies (WebAssembly, Canvas API, Web Workers). Your files never leave your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
• Server-based tools: AI tools (background remover, image enhancer) and certain document conversion tools require server-side processing. For these tools, your files are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections to our servers hosted on Google Cloud Run. Files are processed in memory and are not stored permanently on our servers. Processed files are returned to your browser and the server-side copies are deleted after processing completes.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Authenticate users and manage accounts
• Process voluntary donations
• Analyze usage patterns to understand how users interact with our tools and identify areas for improvement
• Display relevant advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free availability of our tools
• Respond to support requests and customer inquiries
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security vulnerabilities
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your files or images to train machine learning models or for any purpose other than providing the requested processing service.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use the following types of cookies and similar technologies:

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service, particularly features requiring authentication.

We use the following third-party services that may collect and process your information in accordance with their own privacy policies:

• Google Cloud Run — Cloud hosting service used for running our backend AI processing servers. Files processed through AI tools are handled transiently on Google Cloud infrastructure.
• Netlify — Static site hosting and deployment platform. See Netlify Privacy Policy.

We retain your information only as long as necessary:

• Files processed with browser tools: Not retained — files never leave your device.
• Files processed with AI/server tools: Deleted immediately after processing is complete. We do not archive or back up processed files.
• Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
• Analytics data: Retained in Google Analytics for up to 26 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
• Contact submissions: Retained as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for record-keeping purposes.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
• Secure authentication through Supabase with industry-standard practices
• Transient file processing — server-processed files exist only in memory during the operation
• Regular security reviews and updates to our infrastructure

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
• Right to deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, including your account and all associated data.
• Right to data portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

• Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent as the legal basis for processing.

Our servers and third-party service providers may be located in India, the United States, or other countries.
