When converting a video or a sequence of images into a GIF, the main challenge is color quantization. Because GIFs only support 256 colors per frame, converting a millions-of-colors video can result in ugly banding. Our tool uses advanced dithering algorithms (like Floyd-Steinberg) to scatter pixels of different colors to simulate missing shades, resulting in a much smoother, higher-quality animation.
